I have a chance to cash in some Black Friday deals -- my brother is getting up early and offered to pick me up something. I was thinking of getting a laptop.
A question though -- can you upgrade laptops with better video cards like oyu can with desktops, or do you need to buy them with the video card installed?

It all depends on what brand and model of laptop. I have a Gateway that isn't upgradable on the vid card but my Toshiba I'm able to upgrade it. I would suggest doing some quick research to see what brand and model you want to see if you can upgrade it.
