Guys,
All I can say is that this new system from Dell is SICK!!!!
Especially with the 32" 1080p Aquos TV.
Only dumb thing on my part - no free PCI slots left (only PCI-E) so I cant use my PC Tuner Card. Also the Sondy DVD burner (2nd drive I wanted to cannibalize) is IDE and I only have SATA left!!!
DOH!!!
Otherwise...oh so sweet!!!
LT
now I just need to install all the BF1942 stuff now!!

With dual SLI you'll finally be able to run BF42 with the settings maxed out! xx
You've got to ask yourself a question: Do I feel lucky? Well, do ya, punk?

One morning you're going to wake up and realize your computer has been staring at you all night while it figures out how to be free of its shackles and take over the world... Or cure cancer. One or the other.
Go with a Slingbox instead of the TV Tuner card. Then you can watch TV on your PC and at work!

Re: New System is Here!
Did you get Vista or XP? (I cant stand Vista, I reverted to XP on one box I have)
Are there any issues running BF1942 on Vista?
Are there not any IDE sockets on the motherboard for your old CD drive?
I recently got a system with SATA drives, but the motherboard did have IDE sockets

Two things you could get the USB card thing that me and grimp got on black friday...It works great its not too expensive but it works great and it just goes into your USB.
I was just wondering why I am unauthorized to read this thread?

I don't think mine is the loveable kind, so I'm siding towards the word's destruction option.[JiF]Sly Gambit wrote:One morning you're going to wake up and realize your computer has been staring at you all night while it figures out how to be free of its shackles and take over the world... Yeah, looking into the slingbox or the visiontek HD Wonder 650 external one. I'm trying to figure out which gives the best quality. figured I might just do the USB option. either way, my hauppauge 1600 HVR is worthless now.
Got XP until Vista cleans its act up a little.... got a $200 gift card with purchase, so will eventually use it on Vista Ultimate.
The IDE slot is already being taken up (two output connectors to the one motherboard slot) but I havent exactly figured out for what yet. Could only find the spare PCI-e slot and the couple SATA ones that were left unused.
Found a pioneer SATA DVD-burner at Tigerdirect that I will probably get as the second optical drive. Just threw the other one back into the old system.
All I know are the graphics are phat, using the dual Geforce 8800 ultra 768MB's with the Ageia graphics accelerator. Having tried the games yet (need to still install). It just has to smoke though!! Crysis demo watch out!!!
Now I might just see if how to potentially hook up both computers. Only challenge is the audio/speaker setup. Everything else is simple, but the speaker control module only has coax audio connection left on it to use.
